RIVAN ALUMNI TESTIMONIAL

Some schools are more ambitious than others...

Postby gerald » Sat May 15, 2010 1:10 pm

i'm from december 2009 batch... and this is what i say about rivan.

Three years ago, i took up CCNA curriculum provided by the Cisco Networking Academy. It was a 4-module-4-semester course designed and implemented by cisco. Believe it or not, the cisco program (that time) was not so efficient and only left us almost clueless on the major topics of the curriculum. It was perhaps because of the style of teaching, lay-out of the online cisco program (the one that comes before Cisco Exploration & Discovery) and the absence of motivation from instructors.

Come November of last year. I decided to take up a CCNA bootcamp. I did a research on the web and found out what everybody notes as the BEST Cisco training in the Philippines (or even in Asia). I couldn't believe at first that Rivan can convey the entirety of CCNA curriculum with additional extreme information (such as VoIP) in just A WEEK.

The Rivan training. It was raining information and skills for five days. I still couldn't believe that I was able to meet a genius in my life. And that genius being my instructor was an exceptional luck.

I am proud to be an alumni of Rivan Systems, and i even tell my friends and those who contacted me over the web and asked me how i became a CCNA to enroll at Rivan.

I look forward on taking up the CCNP training at Rivan soon.

Thanks to the genius, Sir Rob; to our reviewer, Sir Kevin; and to the lovely training manager, Ms. Jean.

"Greatness Period starts with the five days at Rivan"

Im from the april 2010 batch.

So ayun, sa RIVAN ako nagenrol. :) First day pa lang banat agad sa hands on <setting up your mini call center if im not mistaken> tpos lecture naman.

The best dito wala talaga ko masabi. Pati pagkain ang sarap! Hehe. Of course, we also have to do our part after the bootcamp to self study and practice at home. Medyo mahirap para sa mga katulad kong may trabaho pero tyaga lang and I assure you, the best ang output nyan.

I want to thank my mentors, Sir Rob and Sir Kevin, for the teaching me a lot of Networking stuff and for being an inspiration. You guys played a big role for me to achieve a perfect score in my CCNA exam. < may libreng training pag perfect di ba sir? :) >

RIVAN: WHERE CARE, CONCERN and COMMITTMENT HAPPENS!!!

Una sa lahat sobrang pasasalamat po tlga sa kay SIR ROB, SIR KEVIN, and SIR IVAN sa mga tinuro nyo sa amin and kay mam jean for being always there to provide us with resources and things that really matters...thanks po tlga...

Daming networking schools, daming ng ooffer ng bootcamp, daming nagmamagaling sa IT field...BUT NO ONE...AND AGAIN I SAY, NO ONE WILL EVER BEAT RIVAN SYSTEMS!

ONLY IN RIVAN:
1. THE BEST CULTURE
Lahat prang mgka2tropa lng, wlang engineer, wlang certified, wlang descrimination sa kung ano mn work mo or ano mn posisyon mo sa trabaho...Everyone is treated equal...kung ano resources mo..yun din resources ko...kung ano ang tools mo..yun dn ang tools ko...lahat tulong tulong...lEVERYONE IS GIVEN EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES TO LEARN.
LEARNING IS FUN (joker mga teacher d2..walang boring day d2)
LEARNING IS EASY (dito mo lng makikita na ang whole book na topic compressed in less than 1 hr...daming techniques na tinuro n sobrang ngpapadali ng buhay mo...1 good example is ung FINGER METHOD ni Sir ROB sa SUBNETTING...da best tlga

2. THE BEST TEACHERS
Dito ka lng makakita na tapos na training mo and yet ung mga trainers mo todo kayod pa rn pra matulungan ka sa review...guess what, REVIEWS are FREE...and pwde ka pa mg sit in sa mga next batch pra ms marefresh ka...san ka makakita ng ganun? ung most na alam ko eh pgkatapos ng training mo eh your on your own na...dito hindi..
Rivan doesn't only teach you about WHAT YOU WANT TO KNOW but you'll be taught of WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW.
Most ng schools during 1st day of class ga2win nyo eh introduce mo self mo..yadayadayada...tpos deretso agad sa 1st topic nyo...Dito sa rivan you'll start your 1st topic with your goals..zero knowledge tlaga ako about sa mga career path sa IT...pro sa 1st day naliwanagan ako about the difference between a network eng, system admin, wireless eng, security eng, ...etc...and un i still remember na papipiliin ka ni sir Rob ng career mo and may timeframe pa...So sobrang guidance tlga ang binibigay sau d2...Dito mo lng tlga makikita na concern sa personal improvement mo ang mga teachers mo...
Rivan is COMMITTED TO CAREER GROWTH OF EVERY ALUMNI...Merong referral programs...Dami na narefer sa iba't ibang companies ang rivan...Mrami pang mga taga rivan ang head sa mga IT companies...ONCE A RIVAN ALWAYS A RIVAN (khit tpos na training mo pwde ka pa rn bumalik balik if you want to have experience sa real world...dami nila projects na pwde ka sumama and pwdeng dagdag sa resume)

3. THE BEST TRAININGS
Need i say more...just check the passing percentage and the scores ng mga rivan students...Ganyan kami sa rivan..hehehe.

Sobrang dami ko na ata nasabi...sobrang happy lng talaga ako and thankful..I could go on whole day or a week a month telling you how great rivan is...hehehe...Ayun pala, Me and my girlfriend (Diana Damasco) took the exam on May 31, 2010...I got 100%...and un my girlfriend na zero knowledge sa cisco bago pumasok sa rivan eh nkapasa dn with a high score...and to say na khit "show ip interface brief" di nya lam gawin dati...When my friends and co-employees ask us kung ano secret namin...I'm always proud in saying that, " IT's NOT US, IT's BECAUSE OF RIVAN"...

NOTHING BEATS THE BEST, ONLY RIVAN!
RIVAN IS YOUR ENTRY LEVEL TO GREATNESS!

Greetings to everyone.

Thanks to Rivan, I am very happy to announce that I am now a certfied CCNA.
I took my exam this afternoon, and walked out of the testing center with a big smile on my face.

To cut a long story short, I was a 3D animator now turned Network Engineer.
And this was all possible because of Rivan's guidance and teachings.

I enrolled in Rivan's CCNA Bootcamp on March 2010 and took the weekend class schedule.
After a few hours of my first class, the first thing that I said to myself was "This is going to be fun".
The reason why I said this was because Rivan was able to effectively teach various topics within a day.
Things that takes others weeks and months to understand, took us just hours to master.
And this impressed me a lot.

Every day the class was done, I felt that my brain was just jam packed with information.
Problems with subnetting and supernetting has now become a breeze to me.
Configuring Cisco equipments always makes me excited, and never gets boring.

People would normally want to stay away from problems.
But after finishing Rivan's bootcamp, I just wanted to look for problems and solve them with the teachings and technics that were taught to me.
I was able to have the confidence to say to myself "There is no problem that I can't handle".

For those who are inquiring about the CCNA bootcamp, but feel hesitant because of the hefty tag price, believe me, you will be getting a lot more than what you will be paying for.
Rivan doesn't just prepare you for the exam. They will equip you to face the real world without fear.
And even after the entire bootcamp has ended, Rivan's staff and alumni's will always be there to help you solve difficult problems.

Rivan was also able to ignite a flame in me that made me want to study and practice hard.
And with that being said, I'd like to give thanks to the Masters:
- Sir Rob
- Sir Kevin
- Sir Ivan
- and of course, Ma'am Jean
Thank you

Josh

This is my testimonial to RIVAN's Greatness.

I would like to thank RIVAN for giving me knowledge na d mo basta makukuha lang sa pagbabasa or just sa panonood ng mga tutorials. They will improve all your current skills including yung outlook nyo sa buhay and how to change your habits to achieve your goals.

My training experience was great. I enrolled just for a cisco training but i was able to get more of what i paid for. i was able learn linux, hacking and some great stuffs (AS IN GREAT STUFFS ) that i guess vital for succeding in real world.

I would like to give my thanks to Sir Rob ( good luck sa CCIE) for being patient and teaching us how to succeed by changing our habits and outlook din in life not just the training itself . Thanks din to Sir Kevin and Sir Ivan na napakasipag mag turo at magshare ng kanilang talents to every RIVANS. and lastly to Mam Jean for the support and pag aalaga sa amin.

I still have the list of my RIVAN GREATNESS and the SAGRADONG PAPEL. i posted it in my room and a copy sa office ko to guide me and to remind me always na magsipag to achieve my goals for this year. ( CCNP and Security)

Thank you very much RIVAN for the knowledge.. All worth it ang money and time (pagpupuyat) nyo sa RIVAN....

MORE POWER TO RIVAN SYSTEMS and GOD BLESS .

First of all... thank you sa RIVAN! the BEST IT training center EVER!

Before i enrolled in Rivan, i tried other training center kasi mas mura. But on the very 1st day ko sa ibang training center i got so frustrated, pano ba naman kayang kaya kong aralin turo nila ng self study lang and there teaching, it was so boring. Syempre i'd rather stop my training w/ them than waste my time, effort and money. Yon lang nakabayad nako ng half.

Then my bf (raffy lindogan, a rivan alumni) convinced me to enrol at Rivan, at first medyo alanganin ako because of the money but it was not too long that i did realize na i got more than what i paid for. First day pa lang sa Rivan motivated ka na, they will help you set your goal first. Sa whole day training sobrang dami kang matutunan and sa 5 days na training kaya nilang ituro lahat ng module ng ccna 1-4 at may mga bonuses pa. Of course free breakfast, lunch and meryenda. Unlike other training center, after you're done w/ your training you're on your own. Here at Rivan, after the training, you can attend free reviews and seminars, they can even refer you to some companies here and abroad. What more can you ask for? No other training center can beat that!

I'm from batch March 7th - April 18th 2010 and i passed my ccna exam on may 31st 2010. Marami ring nakaka-100% percent sa Rivan, kaya if you want to secure your future, invest na sa Rivan. Should i say more?

THANK YOU sir Rob, sir Kevin, sir Ivan and of course Ms. Jean!

I'll tell you what I CAN'T SAY about Rivan. You'd think that because 6 meetings lang ang halaga ng bayad mo ay masasayang lang! that's a big NO!! RIVAN will teach you the IN and OUTS about CISCO, in REAL World and in Certification!
Look at me, I was a CCNA aspirant just like the others. And look at me now, just got my certification.
All i can say is, Rivan is the BEST. If you do your part, you can bet they will do their's. So what the HELL??? bago ka pumasok at least magbasa ka naman kahit na papano! or else you will hear the words "WHAT THE HELL???" ni Sir Robert.
